Coffee machine review - Keurig single serve coffee maker by P Hansen looks at the pros and cons of buying a Keurig coffee machine. To check out other peoples reviews or ratings go to coffee maker reviews. Remember you can always add your own Keurig coffee machines review as well.

My Keurig Elite coffee maker was the best birthday present EVER!!!

I was one of those people who waited and waited for the hot water in a tea pot to come to a boil to make my cup of tea. I always hated using my husbands coffee pot because no matter how much you scrubbed the pot out and filter the tea would always taste like coffee.

So for my birthday he purchased the Keurig Elite Single Cup Home Brewing System. I absolutely love it. Just fill the water reservoir that can make up to 6 cups of coffee or tea at a time and you are set.

The Keurig Elite single cup machine has two brewing cup sizes that it offers and also shuts off automatically if not in use. It came with a selection of coffee and tea K-cups for you to sample before committing to your favorite blend.

Keurig K-cups are the little individual coffee brewing systems filled with fresh coffee or tea that you would like. The beauty of this machine is that we are people that don't drink a pot of coffee at a time. Just once or twice a day I like to have a cup of tea and he likes to have a cup of coffee.

Because the K-cups are self contained, my tea never ever tastes like coffee even if he brews one of his Green Mountain coffee pods right before I use my Twinings English Breakfast Tea pods.

The Keurig machine heats up in no time and brews a cup in under a minute. The Keurig Elite produces a steaming hot cup of coffee/ tea as well. We used to have a Krupps and my husband found that the coffee was not that hot and the pot of coffee sitting on the warmer really cooled significantly.

My favorite part of this machine is that there is nothing to clean up except your coffee mug. No messy filters with coffee grinds, no coffee pot that is permanently stained. Just lift out the used K-cup and toss.

The K-cups come in over 200 varieties of coffee, tea and even hot cocoa and many stores now carry them, but we have found that buying them over the internet is considerably cheaper.

It does make a relatively expensive cup of tea/coffee coming in just under a 1.00 if you buy the k-cups from a store. But it is still significantly less than going to a coffee house.

There is a K-cup filter system that you can buy if you absolutely have a blend that you will only drink and/or are looking to save some money. It runs around $12.00 and you can add your own coffee or tea to it and run it thru the Keurig, but then you do have to clean the K-cup filter and reuse. So once again if you switch between coffee and tea you are going to have your tea taste like coffee.

I highly recommend the Keurig Single Cup Home Brewing System and since my owning one, several of my friends and family have also bought this machine and every one of us is satisfied with it!

We give ours a 5 out of 5
