This 12 cup coffee maker review by K. Jamison looks into the pros and cons of buying a Mr. Coffee home brewer. Look here for more Coffee Maker Reviews. Remember you can always add your own coffeemaker reviews as well.

I have a standard 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker from Mr. Coffee. My wife and I received this coffee maker three years ago as a wedding present.

Honestly I didn't use it much at all for the first year and a half as I really didn't drink much coffee. Since then we have had a baby and I have gone back to school full time, so as you can imagine I have a need for a lot more coffee.

I really can't complain about our Mr. Coffee coffee maker, as it does exactly what it is supposed to do. It works fairly quickly to make me 2 or three cups in the morning. It is always hot and delicious depending on the type of coffee I use.

My one complaint, and this isn't huge and is probably common in drip coffee makers, is that occasionally I will have some coffee grounds in my coffee. I am guessing that the filter got bumped or whatever, but it is a little annoying. Nothing huge though.

The thing that I probably like best about this particular Mr. Coffee coffee machine is the built in timer. I know, most coffee makers probably have this, but it is a nice feature.

It also, for a coffee maker, is fairly stylish. It is black with a digital clock and discreet buttons on the front.

The clock and timer are very easy to figure out, as I got it down in about 15 seconds and I am no electronics geek.

We also use our coffee maker to make sweet tea. I didn't know they could be used to do this until I got married( I married a southern girl.) So I guess my Mr. Coffee maker does it all.

It makes great coffee, great sweet tea, it does it when I want, and it works quick. I can't complain, especially since I payed absolutely nothing for the machine.

I am guessing though, that it is a more basic model, probably one of the inexpensive ones that you would find at Walmart.

That being said, it has held up wonderfully throughout the three years that I have had it. Including sweet tea we probably use it 4 or 5 times a week (I try to convince myself a few days a week that I am in fact, NOT addicted to coffee) and it still works wonderfully.

I have never had a cold cup and if this machine broke I would go out and buy one just like it.

Well done Mr. Coffee, well done.
