Keurig Coffee Machine Review - SINCERE DISSAPPOINTMENT?!!!

by Clare
(Chelmsford, MA)

You can image my disappointed when two of my three Keurig machines broke within one week of each other. I receive my first Keurig about 18 months ago as a Mother's Day present (2009). I loved the machine and the coffee so much that I purchased a second the following December (2009) and a third in January (2010). I've become so spoiled with the convenience and the taste of a fresh brewed coffee that I called Keurig to find out about a replacement.

To my surprise, Keurig doesn't warranty their products more than 12 months. I faithfully cleaned the machine with the suggested vinegar solution every 6 months and assumed the machine would last. When I spoke the Keurig technician, she asked me what kind of water I use, which was tap for my home machine and spring for office machine.

She asked me if and when I cleaned my machine and I responded as mentioned above. Then she stated, "according to the serial numbers, the machines were manufactured three years ago and the best Keurig can do is offer me a discount for a new machine at $99". Well that's what BJ's and all the other department stores are selling the machine for. Where's the benefit in purchasing it from Keurig?

Because of my bad experience with Keurig, I will never purchase another machine. The way I see it is, Keurig is more concerned about making money instead of correcting a heating element problem. I refuse to get into the habit of purchasing new machines every two years from I company that doesn't stand behind their products.

I have a Cuisinart Coffee Brewer that I purchased about 8 years ago that is still working.

Keurig died!
by: Anonymous

I woke up this morning only to find that my Keurig coffee pot had died. It is about 2 years old. I would expect that a $200.00 coffee brewer would last longer. Very disappointing!
