Keurig B60 Review - Going back to my $50.00 coffee pot... READ THIS BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR $$$

by Chris
(Wisconsin)

My last coffee pot was a Brewmaster and it lasted almost five years. It finally went up to appliance heaven in June of 2010 and hence my search for a new coffee maker.

My Dentist office put a Keurig Platinum Brewer in their office and I loved it so I bought the B60 Special Edition Keurig Coffee Machine.

The first cup was heavenly as I sipped my Tree Hugger cup of coffee. It remained the perfect relationship so much that I bought an Office Pro for each of our offices.

Within 30 days two of the office pros stopped working and my B60 was beginning to shut off all the time in the middle of brewing. (NOTE: We use either purified or distilled water in all our machines and we descale them once a month.)

We tried to contact Keurig via email as this is an email age but we were directed to call "customer service". This was a total joke as I was hung up on and I got more than once the "hello.....hello.... Are you there? We must have a bad connection.....CLICK......"

I returned the two to the store and bought $20 coffee makers that are still working fine. As far as my Keurig B60 I was managing to deal with it until our other office had theirs stop heating after only 2 months.

This one I could not return to the store and so I called "customer service" again where they made me trouble shoot both my coffee makers for 45 minutes by having me turn them on/off, unplug them, shove needles in holes, etc. (Yeah, great, make me bust it an void the warranty.)

They then gave me the third degree about descaling which really got me mad because I barely used the two we returned and the one that was not heating was used by one person that went through about 1 1/2 boxes of K-Cups the whole time we had it.

Anyway, they finally agreed to send me replacements. I was then curious how my dentists was holding up so I called him. He said he has had is "Platinum" replaced twice so far and that it is on the fritz again.

Anyway when it works the coffee is great! Our favorite K-Cups amongst friends and family are the Tree Hugger, Black Gold, Kahlua, Donut Shop, and the all time favorite but hard to find and high in calories is the Chai Latte!
