This Hamilton Beach coffee machine does everything for me and my family. When I put this coffeemaker out on the counter my family knows it's time to relax. One great reason I love this Coffeemaker is the 3 different ways to brew.

I can brew for myself and put it in the travel mug that came with my purchase. Almost three full cups of coffee fit in this mug. This lasts me almost up until lunch, and it stays hot. Its just brilliant that someone thought of making it tall enough for the travel mugs to fit. No worries about time to pour the coffee into the coffee mug. When does any mother with three children under the age of 10 have time.

You can brew 1-4 cups or up to ten cups. Its great to know that I don't have to throw out coffee because I have more than enough. My family loves how hot the coffee stays. I like the fact that there is no hot plate, the coffee never burns. Also the carafe stays nice and hot because it is made of stainless steel.

The sleek design of the black and stainless just looks great in my kitchen. No messy little finger prints to see. I like the programmable clock and timer. My kids like to see the numbers and to tell me what time it is. The timer actually helps so I program when i would like to have coffee made.

With the Hamilton Beach Coffee Maker I can also choose the strength of the coffee. This is nice because if I really want to wake up I can up the strength. Plus my husband likes it a little weaker than I do.

Another great feature is the automatic shut off. I never have to worry about if its still on when I'm away. You know how kids like to get into everything, well this coffeemaker is kid proof in my eyes. You have to push the button on top of the carafe to pour the coffee. An the lid twists on to lock into place. Nice so my oldest can pour me some coffee, when its not filled all the way.

But there are some downfalls. When you think of coffee do you think it to be hot or cold? Well I think hot. This coffeemaker can also make iced coffee, ewwwww. When I tried it. It just wasn't cold enough for me to really try and enjoy it. Also you have to add ice into the carafe, it tasted extremely watered down.

Another thing is the coffee is hard to pour. The water level markings on it are very hard to see so I don't know when to put more water in. To add to the water issue, when a full pot is brewing I can guarantee that I'm going to get grinds in it. The filter that come with the coffeemaker are just a little short. So when the water is going through the filter it some times over flows and I get grinds. So I buy larger filters and cut the tops to fit.

Don't put the travel mugs in the dishwasher. Wash by hand because water gets in between the groves in the mug and gets trapped so you have to shake all the water out before using. You get coffee and dish water at the same time while drinking, yummy.

This purchase of a Hamilton Beach Stay or Go Deluxe Coffee Maker was great for me. It fits great in my pantry. I wont ever use the iced coffee option, my kids might. But all in all the coffee tastes great, its strong and it stays nice and hot until the last sip.
