Easy Thermal Carafe Cleaning Tip

Here's a real easy thermal carafe cleaning tip for your thermal coffee maker. My thermal carafe was in need of a good cleaning after everyday use. I tried the store bought coffee cleaner, the baking soda method with a bottle brush, hot water and vinegar, but nothing would completely clean the inside of the carafe. I came upon a posting that said to put one tablet of dishwasher detergent in the carafe and fill it with hot water. I let it set for about 6 hours and the carafe was spotless inside. No scrubbing required! Just wash and rinse. It came out like it was brand new.
