Cuisinart Coffee Maker - DCC-2000... Second time around

It's stylish and easy to use - you can get one cup at a time (coffee by demand) without need of a carafe or other pitcher-like vessel. So nice looking with it's stainless-steel design, it fits my kitchen beautifully. But it's been terribly unreliable. I've had 2 in the last 4 years - the first one lasted about 1.5 years and the second one 2.5 years. The second one, by the way, was sent as a replacement for the first one, which I returned to the company under warranty. I've noticed that others on the web have had similar problems with the Cuisinart DCC-2000. They don't last as long as one might expect, owing mainly to faulty electrical workmanship. The pump stopped working on the first on; the clock stopped working on the second one. I don't think I'll purchase any other small appliances from Cuisinart as they seem to be built for obsolescence and poorly engineered. This is a great coffee mug for the person who walks around with their coffee... you can even take it for a walk up the street, or for a drive in your car!
